The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Book Festival

The Mad Hatters Tea Party Book Festival - world book night

UPDATE: We are pleased to announce that local author Guy McElveny will be coming to The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Book Festival. He is the author of the novel The stranger in the Window.

We are holding a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Book Festival to celebrate World Book Night. The event will be held at Oldbury Library on Saturday, April 23, from 11 am to 1 pm.

World Book Night is an annual event, which celebrates books and reading. So to bring the celebration to the Black Country, O.W.G will be organising an Alice in Wonderland style tea party. The event is free to enter, and you can buy a hot drink and a snack (cake, biscuits, etc.) for £1.

You will get to meet local authors and poets. There will be a tombola, activities for the children and a Mad Hatter’s hat competition – there will be a prize for the craziest hat.

For more information about the Mad Hatter’s Book party, you can email us at oldburywritinggroup@gmail.com or you can visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Oldbury-Writing-Group-690692924368229/

So come along if you can – you won’t be disappointed!

“Twinkle, twinkle, little bat!
How I wonder what you’re at!
Up above the world you fly,
Like a tea-tray in the sky.”
– Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland
