The Oldbury Writing Group attended Colley Lane Library on Saturday 13th April 2019 and met up with Colley Lane Writers Group which is run by Maddie Williams once a month.
A special event organised by both our leader (Angela Garratt) and Maddie brought us all together to listen to award-winning, best-selling author Roger Ellory as he agreed to meet us and talk about topics relating to writing. I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that Roger was informative, inspirational and thoroughly entertaining. I was impressed by his immense talent and friendly personality. He gave us plenty of advice and excellent tips including, ‘switch off the tele.’
